Harvest underway!

The beginning of May is always the calm before the storm. Down on the farm, the team are making final touches to the harvest machinery making sure that it is all ready when we push the go button. This involves cleaning, checking and making any final repairs necessary.

May has also brought a thrilling start to the Flat Season for our race horse trainers. It's fantastic to see their success' and we look forward to the rest of their seasons.

Elsewhere, we are very pleased to be sponsoring the Brocklesby Pony Club event at Willow Banks Equestrian on  the 21st May. It's great to see the day so well supported by competitors.

The average weather for the month has been overcast with sunny patches, temperatures sitting at around 16 degrees Celsius, with some rain. By the 20th May, we were cutting. From the start, it was clear that this first cut was giving us excellent quality haylage with good yields. The lack of rain meant we kept cutting into June without stopping...
