April Recap: Growth, Success, and Preparations at Baillie Haylage

Fertiliser Applications Completed: Having meticulously dodged the rain, we've wrapped up our fertiliser applications for the season. These efforts ensure that our fields remain rich with nutrients, laying the foundation for healthy crop of haylage.

Abundant Rain, Bountiful Growth: Despite the persistent rainfall, we're grateful to be growing grass (!) which has done well considering the conditions. We are pleased with how well it looks and look forward to cutting it!

Customer Success: We're thrilled to celebrate another successful month for the racing trainers we supply. From jump racing to flat racing, it's great to see these horses looking fantastic and performing at the top of their game. We take pride in supporting the success of these trainers and their remarkable horses.

Harvest Preparations Underway: As May approaches, we're gearing up for the start of harvest season. Our team is hard at work making final checks on all our machinery and fields. We're poised and ready for harvest as soon as it's ready!

Show Season Commences: April has also seen the show season well and truly underway. It is great to see further customer successes in various disciplines. With the Royal Windsor Horse Show on this week, we wish one of our team, Charlotte, all the best!

Customer Appreciation: We recieved a wonderful image from Redwings Horse Sanctuary. This fantastic cake was baked by Shannon, a team member at Piggots, towards their ‘Great Ruby Anniversary Bake off’. This event was for the staff, and Redwings has a series of fun things happening throughout the year to celebrate 40 years of Redwings Horse Sanctuary. We're proud to support Redwings in the fantastic work they do.
